Traveling from Michigan. We chose Franco's at random and it was the best choice! The pizza was excellent. Perfect crust in taste and texture. A satisfying little crunch and then soft chewy dough. The blend of cheese was so tasty. The customer service was great. The vibe of the restaurant was so chill and welcoming. A great social hangout type of place. It's the type of place that makes you want to live in Ithaca so you can eat their pizza on repeat.

Amazing pizza, nice thin crust, good choices. I love that it’s available by the slice. Unfortunately in the summer it is nearly unbearable inside due to the heat. There was evidence of air conditioning but there was no impact on the temperature. Beyond that there was little ventilation. On an ~80 F day it was cooler outside then in.

Their custom pizzas come out great. My favorite is the garlic base with less mozzarella (for my taste they put too much cheese on them, the flavors come through more w/o mounds of cheese), olives, ricotta, pineapple and either mushrooms, pesto or tomatoes.

Stumbled upon Franco’s while visiting Ithaca for the weekend and was glad we did. It’s a really solid pizza place. While we only did take out, I got a good sense of the ambiance while picking up. Even at 5:30 on a Saturday, it was busy, a good sign. Walking in, you are met with a clear view of the pizza oven and open kitchen as well as a nice display case of pizza’s available by the slice. While we ordered the round (pepperoni and sausage), the Sicilian looked really good and I regret not picking up a slice. The service was quick and good. My order was ready when they said it was and they showed me the pie to confirm it was what I selected…an easy but not common step in customer service. They also had a bunch of atypical sodas (Jarritos, Italian sodas) which was nice. The pizza was very good…crust was well done, decent undercarriage that was toasted but not burned. The style is more of a thin crust which I like, which was crispy from tip to edge. The cheese to sauce to topping ratio was ideal for my taste meaning you got a bit in every bite w/o having the toppings all slide off in one bite. Had a great experience at Franco’s Pizzeria in Thalia. The pizza was really nice, with a unique taste that stood out from the usual options. They offer a good variety of flavors, so there’s something different to try each time. The crust was fresh, toppings were well-balanced, and everything felt thoughtfully made. Definitely a spot worth visiting if you enjoy trying new styles of pizza.
